Thank you for your interest in booking a private workshop! We love teaching workshops for bridal showers, garden clubs, corporate team-building, and more. Please read some details about our workshops below, and then fill out the request for pricing to the right; a member of our team will be in touch soon with a response.

Our workshops are held in the evenings after our shop closes to the public. We may occasionally be able to accommodate a daytime workshop on the weekend. Our schedule is most flexible January through March (except for the week of Valentine’s Day) and in July and August; if you are interested in having a private workshop in the spring or fall, or around the holidays, we recommend having several potential dates in mind.


While we cannot provide food or beverages, you are welcome to bring your own; if you are interested in having the event catered, we are happy to recommend a few wonderful local caterers. Food and beverage set-up may begin up to one hour before the workshop start time, and should be broken down within half an hour of the scheduled workshop end time. If guests elect to remain beyond thirty minutes past the scheduled workshop end time, we are happy to accommodate a longer evening at a rate of $100 per thirty-minute increment.


We regret that we cannot accommodate guests under the age of thirteen. Guests between the ages of thirteen and sixteen must be accompanied by a relative over the age of twenty-five. If you are interested in a private workshop where all the guests are under sixteen—for example, a birthday party—please email us to discuss our chaperone requirements for those events.


In our public workshops, students usually create two flower arrangements of different sizes. Many of our private workshop clients prefer to only make one arrangement, to allow more time for the guests to socialize. We are happy to suggest a vase, style, and seasonal flowers, or work with you to create something customized to your preferences. If you have a specific style or flower in mind for your workshop, inspiration pictures will help us match your ideal.


Our private workshops vary widely in price, since each one is a custom event. The two factors that most directly determine the price are the duration of your workshop and studio rental, and the flowers you select for your arrangements. An average private workshop costs between $100-$135 per guest. We do not offer the option of attending a workshop without creating the arrangements.


Our minimum attendance for a private workshop is ten guests; smaller parties are welcome but must pay for ten. Our recommended maximum attendance is twelve guests, but we are able to fit up to fifteen. The exception to this is wreath workshops, where the size of the wreaths limits us strictly to twelve or fewer guests.


If you are interested in a workshop for a larger group, we may be able to come to you! In the past we have held private workshops in event spaces rented by our clients; some of our corporate clients have hosted private workshops at their workplaces. In our experience, private homes generally don’t have the necessary facilities for a full workshop, but we have done floral design demonstrations in private homes for garden clubs and similar gatherings. If you are interested in an off-site workshop, please email us with some details about your group and the potential workshop space. Due to the need for travel, and the need for additional instructors, off-site workshops can be more expensive per person than workshops held in our studio.
